Terms
Last updated 11 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Ooting, the app at ooting.app. By using it you agree to them. Ooting is run by Wing Studios Ltd, a company registered in Scotland. You can reach us at hello@ooting.app.
What Ooting does
Ooting suggests places to go based on where you are, who's going, when and your budget, and turns the ones you like into a plan. It's free to use and you don't need an account.
Check before you go
We work hard to show the right information, but places change. Prices marked “est.” are our estimates, and any price, opening time, event date or weather forecast can be wrong or change without notice. Events can be moved or cancelled. Please check with the place itself before you set off or pay for anything. The places we suggest are run by other people, and we're not responsible for them, for what happens there, or for whether they suit you.
Bookings and other websites
Ooting doesn't sell tickets or take payments. If you book or buy through a link in Ooting, you're dealing with that business under its own terms. Events outside Glasgow are listed by Ticketmaster, and their tickets are sold by Ticketmaster. Links to other websites are there to help you, and we're not responsible for them.
Using Ooting fairly
Please don't:
- use Ooting for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone;
- type anything offensive into names or places others will see, such as your name in a vote;
- copy or scrape Ooting's content in bulk, or try to overload, break into or get round the limits of the app;
- take the photos, maps or place details out of Ooting to use elsewhere.
We can remove anything that breaks these rules, and stop access for anyone who misuses the app.
Shared plans and votes
Anyone with the link to a shared plan or a vote can see it, so only send links to people you want to see them. You can ask us to delete a shared plan or vote at any time (see our privacy page).
Maps and place information
Ooting uses Google Maps to show place photos, details and maps. By using Ooting, you also agree to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The opening hours we plan around, and some other place details, come from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence. Some photos are from Unsplash, under the Unsplash Licence.
Ours
Ooting's name, design, text and code belong to Wing Studios Ltd. You're welcome to use the app and share your plans, but not to copy the app or its content for another product.
Changes and availability
We're always improving Ooting, so features may change, and we may pause or stop the service. If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Carrying on using Ooting after that means you accept the new terms.
Our responsibility to you
Ooting is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for losses from relying on its suggestions, such as a place being closed, a price being different, bad weather or a cancelled event, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn't let us limit, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by Scots law. If there's a dispute, the Scottish courts can hear it, but if you live elsewhere in the UK you can also bring it in your local courts.
